visa that allows
u.s businesses to employ graduate level
workers and specialty occupations
that require certain expertise in a

the qualifications for the h-1b visa
will differ depending on your employer
and that starts with a job offer in most
cases you may need a u.s bachelor's
degree or higher
a foreign degree that's equivalent an

state license registration or
certification
or you may need the education training
and experience within that specialty
occupation
there are four steps to the h-1b visa
application process
which include step one find a us
business sponsor someone who wishes to
enter the us
through an h-1b visa needs to gain
employment from a u.s employer who will
be willing to sponsor
the applicant step 2 the employer will
submit an
lca once a u.s company has hired you
the employer will need to complete an
lca which stands for
labor conditions approval which is them
agreeing that the employee will receive
equal or greater than the prevailing
wage for that position
in that field step 3 the employer will
submit
a form i-129 once the lca
has been approved the employer will then
file the petition for a non-immigrant
worker
which is with the form i-129 which
allows an employee to work in the u.s
and last but not least step four is to
complete the application at a u.s
embassy
or consulate the average processing time
for the h-1b
visa depends on where you're applying
from but offers premium processing at an
additional cost
once you've successfully obtained an
h-1b visa you are able to stay and work
in the u.s for three years
with the option to extend to six years
